We are pleased to present the 4th edition of the Insigne Journal of Humanities, Volume 2, Number 1, covering the period from January to April 2025. This issue brings together academic contributions that explore the contemporary challenges of science, law, ethics, and emerging technologies through a critical, interdisciplinary lens, always guided by a commitment to the principles of human dignity.

Among the highlights are studies on the right to religious freedom and the refusal of medical treatments based on faith, exemplified by the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ case, as well as research into the civil liability of stakeholders in the context of the Internet of Bodies (IoB), with a special focus on biomedical devices and the evolving dimensions of informed consent. These articles reflect the academic community’s efforts to understand the social, legal, and ethical implications of professional practices in times of technological transformation.

We thank the authors and peer reviewers for their academic rigor and dedication, and we extend our appreciation to readers who support and engage with this forum of reflection. We hope this issue contributes meaningfully to the advancement of the humanities and encourages further scholarly dialogue. Enjoy your reading!
